Several Massachusetts communities are organizing Town Hall meetings on underage drinking for this March. The SAFE MA collaborative, (Supporting an Alcohol Ad. Free Environment in Massachusetts) is providing two documents for those communities that would like to include information at these events on alcohol advertising and underage drinking. The first is a youth fact sheet. The second is a petition that we are using to collect signatures of those who support House Bill 1113. Special screenings of the film, Unnatural Causes will be hosted by the Waltham Public Library and facilitated by a member of the Regional Center for Healthy Communities (Metrowest). All screening will be held in the Lecture Hall at the library at 735 Main Street in Waltham. For screening dates and episodes please see attachment <Unnatural Causes>
Healthy Waltham is looking for material for the next Waltham Connections newsletter which will come out in early April. This newsletter covers health-related happenings in Waltham. Events and announcements up to 60 words in length and articles 300-400 words in length are welcome. The submission deadline is March 1. Please reply via email to newsletter@healthy-waltham.org.
