Cambridge’s OPEN (Overdose Prevention and Education Network) is offering free workshops on substance abuse and addiction, and prevention and response to overdoses.  For more information and to schedule a training at your site, contact Mary Amato at open@cambridgema.gov

The Center for Community Health Education Research and Service will host a screening of Money Driven Medicine: What’s Wrong with America’s Healthcare and How to Fix It on November 18 at 6:30 in Shillman Hall at Northeastern University, 115 Forsyth St in Boston.

Funding Opportunities

The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) has announced funding for its Faith and Community-Based Support Initiative that will fund faith and community-based orgs up to $50,000 to improve work with crime prevention and prisoner re-entry.  Proposals are due December 4.  For the complete RFP, see the attached document called <CSAP grant>.
