Whether the goal is excellent service, facilitating change, or creating a cooperative workplace, the ability to manage ourselves
is a key ingredient in managing our environment. In this interactive workshop, we will begin with self-awareness and learn
to replace reactivity with response. We will also practice centered communication by staying relaxed and focused on what we really
want.
Using principles and techniques from Aikido, the Japanese art of
reconciliation, participants will discover how to choose a centered
response under pressure, communicate clearly, and strengthen
relationships.
Learning Objectives:
• Increased options in habitually stressful situations
• New capacity to handle what comes with objectivity and curiosity
• Enhanced self-awareness and emotion management
• Skills to communicate clearly and effectively
