Managing Multiple Priorities:
Strategies for Effective Time Management

Date: Thursday July 10, 2008 (9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)

The Center is easily accessible by public transportation.

Light morning refreshments will be served.

Cost: This workshop is free, however any cancellations after July 7 will be charged $35.00. Participants must register by July 2nd - see registration details below.

Workshop Description: No matter what job you do, time is always at a premium. How do you balance all of the competing demands of your work when there never seem to be enough hours in the day? Join us for a workshop on managing these multiple priorities in order to serve your communities more effectively.

Participants will learn strategies to:
  • Increase productivity by focusing on priorities;
  • Separate the urgent from the important;
  • Eliminate time wasters;
  • Use planning tools more effectively;
  • Delegate, motivate and influence;
  • Improve communications; and
  • Implement workshop learning into everyday practice.
Trainer: Judi Hampton is a training consultant for the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University. She has over thirty years of experience as an entrepreneur, trainer, seminar leader, facilitator, and university teacher. Ms. Hampton has her own professional development firm which focuses on coaching and training. She also serves as President of the Board of Directors of Blackside, Inc., which has produced "Eyes on the Prize" and other award-winning documentaries on American historical and social issues for public television. Previously, Judi had her own full-service public relations firm with clients that included nonprofit organizations, major corporations, universities, and government agencies.
