About Our Library

The Regional Center for Healthy Communities Resource Library hosts a rich collection of books, videos, curricula, and visual aids, encompassing a wide variety of public health-related topics. Resources focusing on alcohol and substance abuse prevention, tobacco, community health planning, and youth development are emphasized; however, the Library also holds materials devoted to the following subjects:

    • Community Building & Planning
    • Diversity
    • Media Literacy
    • Mental & Emotional Health
    • Nutrition & Wellness
    • Sexuality
    • Violence Prevention

In addition to circulating materials, the Library offers a variety of free brochures and posters. Also available is a computer with Internet access, as well as a TV/VCR for previewing or watching our videos.
The Resource Library is open to the public and circulates resources free of charge to any individual who lives or works within the 60 communities in the RCHC’s service area

Materials are generally oriented towards use by educators, health care or human service professionals, and community or organizational leaders; however, students, parents, and other community residents are also welcome to make use of our resources.
