The Burlington Drug and Alcohol Task Force will hold its 6th annual Alcohol-Free Weekend kick-off on May 1 from 5-7 PM on the Burlington Common (rain site Council on Aging, 61 Center St). There will be pizza and music and buttons will be distributed.
Massachusetts Youth Against Tobacco is holding a statewide summit to celebrate the great work and accomplishments of youth tobacco prevention and advocacy across the stateonSaturday, May 9th from 9:30-4:00PM (registration and breakfast from 8:30-9:30AM) at Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Middlesex Partnerships for Youth and District Attorney Gerry Leone are looking for youth to create and submit 30-60 second public service announcements to raise awareness, speak out against, and prevent teen dating violence. Funding Opportunities
The Regional Center for Healthy Communities (Metrowest) can be a great resource for municipalities interested in applying for the Mass in Motion RFR (http://www.tmfnet.org/news_massinmotion.html). Our library has great resources to help you plan and the Regional Center staff is available to read proposals for how completely responses address each of the RFR’s questions. If you are interested in the reading service, we need to receive the proposal (can be an incomplete draft) on Monday, April 13.
